The Calling

"Unless which thou seek you find within thee, you shall never find it without thee."

It's been new moon again and I surely do feel like I'm newly born! Well, not quite but my I've came into contact with the divine and it has changed my life permanently. For the good of course. :) I feel this amazing force inside me, which has every possibility and just wants to grow and expand through you. And the friction and unhappiness in life all a symptom of going against your own divine nature.

I can see it so clearly now, especially in nature. Nature is always growing, expanding, creating life. Death happens only to feed more life, giving nutrition to earth. This creative force is within in us all. And it's so amazing to feel it so clearly now. It's as if all the foggy clouds have left my mind and I can see now, so clearly....

I know and feel strong enough to start claiming my calling, which is helping others in one way or another. It is such a great feeling, when now I have something to give from. I know I only have to surrender myself for the Divine and she'll lead me. ^^

I might start from doing a little Tarot divination for my friend in need... :)

Enjoyable Lughnasadh!

Hiya! Been spending Lughnasadh walking in the woods and eating some raspberries (though in the picture above you see a redcurrant :) ). It's been a very long time since I've reported about Lughnasadh. As an eclectic witch I usually don't do much complicated rituals. Mostly I go out to the nature, calm down, concentrate, burn candles (once back in the house) etc.

An article at Witchvox describes the heart of the festival in a beautiful way:

"Lughnasadh is a time of personal reflection and harvest, of our actions and deeds, events and experiences, our gains and losses. A time when we begin the cycle of reflection of that which is our life. A period for personal fertility magic to ensure the bountiful harvest of life's gifts and experiences, that which we have reaped though trial, tribulation, enjoyment, joy, love and loss. As my Elder once said to me, "We can not know what we have not experienced." Such is the truth of life รถ we become not by chance but by experience. Each experience opens a window into ourselves, into who we were, who we are, and whom we are choosing to become."

Power animal: Cat

I've had many power animals during my life, dogs, foxes and wolves, deers, butterflies and tortoises... And low and behold, my "new" power animal is: Cat. Well, not so new actually, I've been fascinated by cats before but all this time it has kind of been in the background... But now it's stepping in.

In case you wonder how I know this. Well, for me it usually happens that I feel very drawn to all things "cat". Shirts with pictures of cat on them, jewerly and so on. And if I were to get a cat shaped pendant or something like that I'd immediately feel at peace and calm.

Power animals are the animals that give us their strenght. I used to love wolves back in my teenage years and earlier until I learned to cultivate their wisdom into myself.

Here's some stuff about a cat as a power animal.

Cat, Power Animal, Symbol of Wholeness, Independence, Curiosity, Many Lives, Cleverness, Love, Mystery, Magic

By Ina Woolcott

In Egypt cats were treated like royalty and were always given special privileges. The Egyptian Goddess Bastet takes the form of a cat. Due to their x-ray vision, acute hearing and high intelligence they were used throughout history as guardians and protectors. In ancient Egypt, cats guarded the temple gates and were used to fend off evil. In Scandinavia the cat was used to represent fertility. The cat is associated with the Norse Goddess of Fertility Freya, and the Hindu Goddess of Childbirth, Shasthi. It is also a symbol of childbirth in India. Witches, in days long gone, were believed to have the ability to shape shift into cats. It was also believed that cats were their familiars.

Cats are extremely independent and combine a high degree of sensuality with a deeply psychic and spiritual nature. It is impossible to own a cat. They may allow you to take care of them and give them love, but only on their terms. Cats come and go as and when they wish to.

Cat's medicine includes independence, unpredictability, healing, curiosity, many lives, magic, mystery, cleverness, the ability to fight when cornered, seeing the unseen, Allows us to dream its dreams and protection. Love is represented by the cat.

Cats have more rods in the retinas of their eyes which enable them to see very well in the dark. Darkness is often associated with mankind's fears. Since the cat is at home in the dark, it is a highly valuable ally into the world of the supernatural and the unknown. If cat is your power animal, you may have found an excellent assistant in moving through your fears.

If cat appears in your life the blending of magic and mystery is close by. Like the cat, you too are independent and a free thinker. At night you probably feel energized. You will stay with a person or situation until you are bored - and then you're off again looking for something more interesting. Cat encourages agility in both body and mind. You will be presented with new ideas and places. The cat gives you clearer perception. You have good organisational skills. The cat teaches us that the physical and spiritual worlds are not separate, but one, and is a good assistant for meditation. A resourceful, strong and fearless spirit guide lending you courage and confidence. Examine the colours, character and behaviour of the cat that has entered your life. Everything about it will be mirrored in your own life.

The energy field of a cat rotates is a counter-clockwise direction, which is the opposite of a human energy field. Thus, cats have the ability to absorb and neutralise energy that affects humans in a negative way. This is part of the cats healing medicine. If something is affecting you in a negative way, place a cat on your lap or find a cat to pet. Your energy field will be realigned immediately and inner balance will be restored.

Cat is a trustworthy teacher, guiding you into the world of self discovery and transformation.

Happy new moon and the mission goes on

First, have a nice dark moon everyone! ^^ I did a little ritual of purification and to move from certain people and from that what has happened. And also, been cleaning up my room (haha). But it's actually refreshing. really refreshing.

My crown chakra has been bubbling again a bit... Just recording this. I guess time will tell what that indicates.

I've been thinking of doing a post about my stones, not sure if I've already done though...

The boy's brother (living in Africa) advised that he'd get baptized into Islam which I think too, is the best solution now since Islam is the mature religion where the beast is also coming from. If I remember right, his parents aren't religious and thus he was never baptized. He liked to go to church though, but lately couldn't do so because for some reason when hearing the church bells and entering the church it began hard to breathe for him. He was wondering is the demon had posessed him but don't think so (because the demon acts outside him). At least not completely... But they seem to share some kind of link. Long story short, he'd get the baptizing. We were wondering if it was possible to actually trap a demon, close it somewhere to keep it at bay but I couldn't find any instructions or information about that...
Though it seems to be the most common belief that the best way to get rid of an evil entity is controlling you mind: Do not feed it by fearing it. Do not feed it with any negative emotion, instead, switch into positive mood. Think of the most happiest and loving times you've had and stick to them.

It might sound easier than it actually is but what do you got to loose..?

A new mission continues

So apparently he managed to get two of them out by himself. There was someone who was just arranging stuff and a girl ghost who was crying. They left when asked but the last one is furious. It's shutting lights, making loud noses and growling. The boy said he suspects it came from Africa where he was visiting recently and where there was a bloody goat head in the house he was sleeping in. It all began there and the creature had followed him here. He had tried everything, Jeesus, salt, chrystals, sage.. You name it but with no success. I told him we'd need to speak to the beast it's own language, meaning, that since it's probably from a part of Africa where people follow a very different religion none of those things matter to it.

I then went search online more about the local religion. The population mostly consists of Muslims but many also follow the old African religion called Serer. They apparently use pentagram as a protective symbol and he recalled seeing a pentagram in the house. I suggested he'd use the pentagram and appeal to the supreme god of serer religion called Roog. And also, call his relatives in Africa for more help. That's all I could do by far...

Restless spirits, a new mission

I just got myself a mission in a form of helping a fellow wizard in trouble. I happened to find my way to Indian bazar the other day and heard a discussion between a boy and the shop assistant about ghosts that keep on disturbing him in his apatment. We ended up hanging out the whole day and speaking about all this stuff (he's a newbie on the field) and I advised him to ask if the ghosts have something to tell him. I don't believe in banishing spirits, if they do such a thing they need to be listened to. Maybe their dead was traumatic and they just want someone to tell about it to before they can accept it and move on etc. Maybe something bothered them during their lifetime and they need to tell about it.. I don't know but it takes a lot of energy and effort to, for example, throw things around when you're not a physical being and if a spirit does that, in my opinion, they want to get noticed and thus have something on their heart.

I advised him to use a pendulum and ask the spirits what are they up to. One of them left when he paid attention to it, but the other two are still there as far as I know.

I'll keep you in touch with this. :)

Which Moon Phase Were You Born Under?

Find out in: Spacefem.com

You were born during a New moon

The moon is dark in this phase, because the half that's illuminated by the sun is facing away from Earth.

What is says about you?

You want to leave an impression on people and make your mark on the world.  When you love an idea, you'll work hard for it, sometimes even dropping whatever it is you're doing to go on to the next new great thing that's captured your imagination.  The more freedom you have to chose what you're doing, the busier you'll be.

More about The New Moon children from:
Freedomtek.org

The Lunar Personality Types:

  1. New Moon: If you were born during the New Moon phase, you have a childlike wonder and excitment about life. Open and demonstrative, you think and act spontaneously. With your bright, bubbly personality, you launch yourself into your work with tremendous enthusiasm. You are at your best when you are generating new ideas and beginning fresh projects, ever-hopeful about their outcome. Your eagerness leads you to work fast and furiously, but with the attendant danger that you can all too often exhaust yourself before reaching your goal. On the negative side, you have a habit of seeing life from a purely subjective point of view. You are likely to make your mark in life when you are comparatively young, and you will need to learn how to sustain that impulse throughout the rest of your life.

Have a nice fullmoon friday the thirteenth! ;)

I'm not much of a big believer in friday the thirteenth BUT fullmoons are the ones I truly love. :) Today I was thinking about my path and how it all had started. We are all born witch, regardless of do we choose to walk this path or not. We all have equal possibilities within us. I had always been interested in Tarot and ghosts and had a few of premonitions and flashes from past lives but it wasn't untill I was about 20 years old, that I began to choose this path. Choose to become a witch, study. It was a very hot summer. I was suffering from a sleeping disorder and feeling constant flows of energy in me. They were sparkles at the lightest and when they were stronger it felt like a punch of worms crawling under my skin and up my body. I felt an itch at the top of my head, or more like churr and later on was told my chackras were starting to open. Which I do believe; the overflow of energy and the my crown chackra at the top of my head itchying...
I read books and found this world very fascinating, yet, also a very beautiful one. I started practicing the solstices and the sabbaths and soon could tell that it was fullmoon without any calendars in pure daylight just by feeling. My connection to the world had never been this awsome.

So today it's fullmoon again. Celebrate my friends! I know I do. I celebrate me, I celebrate who I am and I celebrate the life.

Rites of Passage

Last night we let go of our beloved, the head of our family, the matriarc, my grandmma. She had fought for her life for a long time and many doctors wondered how on earth she could be still alive. She was so tough. She was quite a spirit. Many times she was on edge but managed to stay back, refusing to leave. I wondered what could still keep her here, her soul could easily had left and moved on a long time ago, if she had wanted. Many years she did defy the disease in her and continued her journey on earth. But last night apparently, her job here on earth was done and she decided to move on, sleeping peacefully. And rest she shall. It had been a long life for her, nearly ninety years. She'll now continue to the Goddess and God, to home, to rest and then perhaps start a new life. I wonder what kind of adventures are yet to come to her and I wonder what kind of a adventure she now left behind. It really makes me wonder...

I had a little rite of passage here today. I first lit a black candle and meditated. Black here is a symbol of stepping into unknowing, going through the gate. Then I lit a white candle as a symbol for purity of the soul and new beginnings. The flame was flapping and smoking. Maybe it's just the breath of wind from the window, or, as they say, a spirit is present... ;) Well, be what it may, I took it on tape.

Beltane greetings and some updates!

Hi! Long time no see, huh? ;) Sorry it's been quiet here and... Hey, do I have new followers? In that case welcome! ^^ It's Beltaine again, my favorite time of the year (along with Samhain). ^^ *Sooo happy!* Also, finally after a year of waiting I got a book from the library. The book is named "The Science of Getting Rich" and it's by Wallace Wattles. I've heard the book is a masterpiece so I just had to check it out. :)

I spent Beltaine with my friend Moira Hermione and we read eachother's auras. I think Moira's sight is more clear than mine. Mine was mostly based on a feeling. But think I saw mostly electric blue on her. :) She saw red, orange and brown in me.

Red Aura people are enthusiastic and energetic individuals, forever on the lookout for new adventures. They are adventurous with food, travel and sexual partners. The mantra of the Red Aura color individual is "I'll try anything once." Because of their devil-may-care approach to life they often find themselves in hot water.
Red Aura people are quick to anger and can lose their temper over the slightest thing. But on the upside they are generous with their time and energy when called upon for help.

Orange Aura people are gregarious, generous, social souls. They love to be in the company of others and don't mind being the center of attention or just another face in the crowd. They want to please others and are often the best gift givers, being very thoughtful and generous.
The Orange Aura individual is normally good-hearted, kind and honest. They are very in tune to the emotions of others and can sense and feel their pain and joy. Orange Aura people can be very charming, but part of their charm is in their sensitivity to others. They have the ability to make everyone feel at ease in their company.

People with a brown aura, regardless of the shade of brown represented or the amount of within the aura, tend to be very businesslike and careful, but nurturing and generally interested in helping others. They are often very brave, and wonderful team players. On the negative side, however, despite their best or most loving intentions, brown aura individuals may have control issues or anxiety.  Brown aura bearers can also be of delicate constitution, needing extra time to charge their emotional batteries.

Blue- Electric blue can override any other color in the aura, when the person is receiving and/or transmitting information in a telepathic communication
